ಈ ಮೂಲಕ ಸಂಕೇಶ್ವರ ಪಟ್ಟಣದಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸವಾಗಿರುವ ಸಮಸ್ತ ನಾಗರೀಕರಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿಯಪಡಿಸುವುದೇನೆಂದರೆ ಕೇಂದ್ರ ಸರ್ಕಾರದ ವಸತಿ ಮತ್ತು ನಗರ ಬಡತನ ನಿರ್ಮೂಲನ ಇಲಾಖೆಯು ಆರ್ಥಿಕವಾಗಿ ಹಿಂದುಳಿದ ಮತ್ತು ಕಡಿಮೆ ಆದಾಯ ಗುಂಪಿನ ಬಡಜನರಿಗೆ 'ನಮ್ಮ ಮನೆ ಯೋಜನೆ'ಯಡಿ ಮನೆ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಬಡ ಫಲಾನುಭವಿಗಳಿಂದ ಅರ್ಜಿಗಳನ್ನು ಆಹ್ವಾನಿಸಿದೆ. ಸಂಕೇಶ್ವರ ಪುರಸಭೆಯ ವ್ಯಾಪ್ತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪಲ್ಸ್ ಪೊಲಿಯೋ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ದಿನಾಂಕ 10-01-2010 ರಂದು ಹಮ್ಮಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕರು ತಮ್ಮ 5 ವರ್ಷದ ಒಳಗಿನ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ಪೊಲಿಯೋ ಹನಿ ಹಾಕಿಸಿ, ಪೊಲಿಯೋ ಮುಕ್ತರನ್ನಾಗಿಸಲು ಸಹಕರಿಸಬೇಕೆಂದು ವಿನಂತಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಮುಖ್ಯಾಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು, ಪುರಸಭೆ ಸಂಕೇಶ್ವರ |

ದಿನಾಂಕ: 19-12-2009 ರಂದು ನಡೆದ ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯ ಸಭೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನೂತನ ಸ್ಥಾಯಿ ಸಮೀತಿ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರನ್ನಾಗಿ ಶ್ರೀ ಅಣ್ಣಪ್ಪಾ ಕುಂಬಾರ ಇವರನ್ನು ಸರ್ವಾನುಮತದಿಂದ ಆಯ್ಕೆ ಮಾಡಲಾಯಿತು. ಈ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಪುರಸಭೆ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಶೌಕತ ಅವಟೆ, ಸರ್ವ ಸದಸ್ಯರು, ಮುಖ್ಯಾಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಎಲ್.ಬಿ.ಹಿರೇಮಠ ಹಾಗೂ ಪುರಸಭೆಯ ಸರ್ವ ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿ ವರ್ಗ ಹಾಜರಿದ್ದರು. . |

ದಿನಾಂಕ: 15-06-2009 ರಂದು ಸಂಕೇಶ್ವರ ಪುರಸಭೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸನ್ 2008-09 ಸಾಲಿನ ಪರಿಶಿಷ್ಠ ಜಾತಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಪರಿಶಿಷ್ಠ ಪಂಗಡಗಳ ಕಲ್ಯಾಣ ಶೇ. 18ರ ಅಡಿ ಶಾಲಾ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ಸ್ಕೂಲ ಬ್ಯಾಗ, ಕಾಲೇಜು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಸಹಾಯಧನದ ಚೆಕ್, ಕಂಪ್ಯೂಟರ್ ತರಬೇತಿ ಫಲಾನುಭವಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಹಾಜರಾತಿಗೆ ಆದೇಶ ಪತ್ರ ಹಾಗೂ ವ್ಯಾಯಾಮ ಸಾಮಗ್ರಿಗಳ ವಿತರಿಸುವ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಹಮ್ಮಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲಾಗಿತ್ತು . |

ಸಂಕೇಶ್ವರ ಪುರಸಭೆಯ ಬಗ್ಗೆ
ಸಂಕೇಶ್ವರ ಪಟ್ಟಣವು ಪುರಸಭೆಯಾಗಿ 1973ರಲ್ಲಿ ಅಸ್ತಿತ್ವಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದಿದೆ. ಇದು ಹಿರಣ್ಯಕೇಶಿ ನದಿಯ ದಂಡೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಹಾಗೂ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಹೆದ್ದಾರಿ4 ಪೂನಾ-ಬೆಂಗಳೂರ ರಸ್ತೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಇದ್ದು, ಬೆಳಗಾವಿಯಿಂದ 50ಕಿ.ಮೀ ದೂರ ಇದೆ. ಇದರ ಜನಸಂಖ್ಯೆ 2001ರ ಜನಗಣತಿ ಪ್ರಕಾರ 32,511 ಇರುತ್ತದೆ. ಇದರಲ್ಲಿ 23 ವಾರ್ಡಗಳು ಇದ್ದು ಇದರ ವಿಸ್ತೀರ್ಣ 8.25ಚ.ಕಿ.ಮೀ ಇರುತ್ತದೆ. ಇದು ಒಕ್ಕಲುತನ ಪ್ರಕಾರವಾದ ಶಹರ ಇದ್ದು ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದು ಸಕ್ಕರೆ ಕಾರ್ಖಾನೆ ಇರುವದರಿಂದ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿ ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಕಬ್ಬು ಬೆಳೆಯುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದು ಪ್ರಸಿದ್ದ ಜಗದ್ಗುರು ಶಂಕರಾಚಾರ್ಯರ ಮಠ ಇರುತ್ತದೆ.ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಇದಕ್ಕೆ ಸಂಕೇಶ್ವರ ಎಂದು ನಾಮಕರಣ ಮಾಡಲಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಪ್ರತೀತ ಇದೆ.
About Sankeshwar TMC
The Town Municipal Council(TMC) Sankeshwar was constituted in 1973. It is situated at the bank of river Hiranyakeshi along Pune-Bangalore National Highway No.4 at a distance of 50 Kms from Belgaum. It has population of 32,511 according to the census of 2001. The TMC has 23 wards and equal number of Councilors. Sankeshwar TMC stretches to an area of 8.25 SqKMs. Sankeshwar Town is the center for Agriculture Activities. There is an sugar factory in the town and hence more people grows sugarcane. It is a historical place. There is a one historical temple of Jagadguru Shankaracharya,hence town might have been called as Sankeshwar. In this city, you can find all type of education available. Here you can have education in English, Kannada, Marathi and even in Urdu medium. You can have graduation in Medical, Engineering, Arts, Science, Commerce, law, management etc. Also courses like Job oriented courses are available. This city has a huge sugar factory too.The city is also famous for the export quality of chilly. How can you forget CHIRMURI. National Highway 4 is a pride to city.
Sankeshwar is one of 74 Karnataka Cities in the Karnataka Municipal Reforms Project - Municipal eGovernance project. Each of the 74cities will get a comprehensive website other important modules to be launched by September 2007 are Property Tax, Financial Accounting GIS mapping, Municipal Reforms Project is a partnership between the Urban Development, eGovernments Foundation and Survey of India.
